Abstract

We give reasons to prefer the period near 2.5 days, favored by some authors, to the double period for EG Sagittarii. The near commensurabiltiy with the day has caused alternate eclipses to go unobserved for long stretches of time. When they are observed, they are too deep to be secondary minima.
