Abstract

(Abstract only) A rapid outburst (DV = 0.6 magnitude) followed by an extended modest brightening of the interactive binary RZ Cas was noted in late 1996. A second such event (DV = 0.5 magnitude) was observed for WW Aur in early March 1998, and the star was moderately active (DV = 0.2 magnitude) until at least late May 1998. These observations suggest that observers should be alert for possible physical variations, involving mass transfer, for such stars at any time.
