Occultation of TYC 1236-00841-1 by Titania on 2023 November 21 for BSM-NH2.

Hello!

On November 21, 2023, a rare event will occur - occultation of bright R = 11.75 star by Uranus' satellite Titania (maximum duration = 72.8 sec.). This is an important phenomenon for science (as written here https://groups.io/g/IOTAoccultations/topic/forthcoming_stellar/102356665 ) and the imaging technique is similar to imaging of eclipses of binaries, so I think that such a proposal for the AAVSOnet is appropriate.

Only one telescope is within the area of ​​visibility: BSM-NH2. Event Mid-Time: 05:16:55 UT for this location, accordingly, I request continuous shooting starting 60 minutes before and 60 minutes after (to measure the separated flux from Titania and the star both before and after the occultation) with Rc filter: from 04:15 to 06:15 UT.

The shutter speeds are necessary so that the SNR is not too low for 14-mag Titania during the occultation and so that there is no illumination of the Titania position from Uranus, so this needs to be checked in advance: will it be 1 second or 0.1 second.

The purpose of observing this event is admirable, but does not align the purpose of AAVSO which is variable stars an exoplanets, not planetary science. I know there will be a lot of attention paid to this by others and I myself have been making observations of Titania in the last few weeks to nail down the astrometry.
