The data from proposal #230 indicates that comp star 81 on the finder chart for RU Cam may be variable between Magnitude 7.8 and 8.0, I would like to request additional 90 days of images for RU Cam and will also analyze comparison star 81 with Vphot to determine if it is variable.

VSX Target Name: RU Cam

Appropriate Comp Stars: Chart X27243TI includes 7 comp stars within a 1 degree field of views
Fliters Needed: B, V, I (there are few R band comp stars)
Number of images in each filter: Your advice would be appreciated

David, before I pass this proposal along to the TAC it would be helpful if you could explain your findings from proposal #230 and why you need additional observations.

Dirk,

The findings from proposal #230 used comparison star 81 as either a comp star or a check star, the images from January 5,2022 to March 27,2022 were removed from the FTP site before I could download them. I completed a time series analysis on comp star 81 using the Nov-Dec 2021 and it indicates a variation of 0.2 magnitude with an approximate period of 20 days. I would like additional data to confirm this and complete more accurate photometry on RU Cam.

Thanks,
Dave

George reports that 132 images from the period in question have been placed back on the FTP site. Perhaps you can look at those and report back on whether new observations are needed. Sebastian reports recent communications with you about the 81 comp star as not showing 0.2 mag variability, more like 0.02.
