The TESS light curve of this variable looks interesting but note the amplitude of the variability: less than 0.02 mag. From the ground you simply will not be able to resolve anything of interest in the light curve. When deciding on projects, one of the first things you need to consider is whether or not the equipment is capable of doing what you need. Resolving light curve features at millimag scales with AAVSONet systems is not a good choice. I understand you are a new observing and your motivation to study variable stars is excellent, but you should pick some projects that will allow you to both gain experience and have a good chance of succeeding. Something with a higher amplitude of variability, at least 0.1 mag, would be a good start. If you have some ideas for projects and want to run them by me, I will be happy to offer advice.
